Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the AssetForge website, accounts, digital-asset marketplace, checkout, downloads, newsletter, and support services (together, the “Service”). AssetForge (“AssetForge”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) determines how personal information is used for the Service.
It does not govern websites or services operated independently by third parties, even when we link to them. Their own privacy notices apply to information they process.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: your name or display name, email address, account identifier, and authentication information. If you choose Google sign-in, we receive account details Google makes available with your permission, such as your name and email address. We do not receive your Google password.
- Orders and downloads: your name, email, PayPal order identifier, purchased assets, prices, currency, payment status, order timestamps, and records needed to provide protected downloads.
- Support: your name, email address, message, and any information you choose to include in that message.
- Newsletter: the email address you submit to receive AssetForge news and release updates.
Information collected through use of the Service
- Cart and session data: an account or session identifier, asset identifiers, quantities, and cart-update timestamps.
- Security and technical data: IP address and request metadata may be processed by our hosting infrastructure. AssetForge hashes IP addresses used by its application-level rate limiter and stores short-lived counters to prevent abuse.
- Analytics data: Vercel Web Analytics collects anonymous, aggregated page-view information such as the visited route, timestamp, referrer, filtered query parameters, approximate location, browser, operating system, and device type. Vercel states that these data points are not associated with an individual or IP address.
Payment information
PayPal processes payments. AssetForge receives transaction and payer details needed to confirm and fulfil an order, but does not receive or store your full card number, bank-account credentials, or PayPal password.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create, authenticate, secure, and support your account;
- maintain carts and synchronize them after sign-in;
- create, validate, fulfil, and document orders and payments;
- provide purchased downloads and send transaction receipts;
- respond to support requests and service communications;
- send newsletters or release updates you requested;
- measure and improve the Service using aggregated, cookieless analytics;
- detect fraud, prevent abuse, troubleshoot, and protect the Service; and
- comply with applicable law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing.
Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on:
- Contract: to provide accounts, checkout, purchased assets, downloads, receipts, and requested support.
- Consent: for newsletter communications where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, understand aggregated website usage, and respond to inquiries, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligations: to maintain required transaction, tax, accounting, compliance, and dispute records.
Data retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including:
- account information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward;
- order and payment records for fulfilment, fraud prevention, disputes, accounting, tax, and other legal obligations;
- support messages while needed to resolve and document the request;
- newsletter details until you unsubscribe or request removal;
- cart records until cleared, merged, deleted, or no longer operationally necessary; and
- short-lived rate-limit records for security and abuse prevention.
Retention periods may be extended where information is needed for a legal claim, investigation, security incident, or obligation. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer required, where reasonably practicable.
Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the Service, including encrypted HTTPS transport, access controls, database row-level security, server-side authorization checks, payment-webhook verification, protected download checks, request validation, and rate limiting.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your password confidential, use a unique password, and contact us promptly if you believe your account or information has been compromised.
International transfers
AssetForge and its service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we and our providers rely on recognized transfer mechanisms and safeguards appropriate to the relevant information and destination.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or a copy of your personal information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or complain to a data-protection authority.
To submit a request, email assetforge@outlook.in. Describe your request and the email address connected to your account. We may ask for reasonable verification before responding. Some information may be retained where permitted or required by law, including transaction records.
To stop newsletter messages, use an unsubscribe option when provided or contact us at the address above. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Children's privacy
The Service is intended for developers and other users able to enter into a binding agreement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children contrary to applicable law. If you believe a child has provided information improperly, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the Service, our providers, or applicable requirements. We will update the effective date above and provide additional notice when a material change requires it. Your information remains governed by the policy in effect when it is processed.
